Adopt-A-Family’s self-sufficiency and empowerment programs are designed to address the needs of low-income families who are adversely affected by the housing affordability crisis – which places thousands of families a year at risk of homelessness in the Palm Beach County community.

This core area targets families who have fallen on a temporary hardship, and are in need of short-term financial assistance to regain stability; as well as families who are dedicated to the pursuit of increased financial stability and homeownership.

Core service area high-impact fact: Due to prominent local, state, and national foundation support, Adopt-A-Family Self-Sufficiency and Empowerment Programming has experienced exponential growth. This includes the expansion of Service Enriched Housing, and the Housing Stabilization Program, which has more than doubled in its capacity to prevent homelessness for families in Palm Beach County over the past two years.
