Holiday Adopter Program & Santa Shoppe

2020 Santa Shoppe Recap

Family with Santa and Mrs. Clause at Santa Shoppe eventThe turf behind Project Grow was transformed into a socially-distanced Christmas wonderland for our annual Santa Shoppe event. Through this beloved Adopt-A-Family tradition, each child received a personalized gift, took photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus, and selected presents to give to loved ones. Families also received take-home lunches, treats, craft kids, and a heaping helping of holiday cheer.

Thanks to Santa Shoppe and our other holiday events, 250 vulnerable families received personalized holiday gifts.

Special thanks to each and every donor who made our holiday events possible!

2020 Holiday Adopter Program Recap

Adopt-A-Family staff with dog

All 104 of our resident families had a memorable holiday season thanks to a group of generous donors who participated in our Holiday Adopter Program! A number of companies, groups, organizations, and individuals purchased hundreds of gifts on behalf of their assigned families, including the furry little “adopter” above. Thank you to every donor for your thoughtful generosity and holiday spirit.

2020 HRC Gift Giving Event Recap

Client receiving gifts at Gift Giving eventThanks to widespread community support of our annual Gift Giving Event at the Homeless Resource Center, 97 local families experiencing homelessness received wrapped gifts and armfuls of stocking stuffers for their children.

Donors such as Publix, the Village of Palm Springs Police Department, Alton Town Center, The Royal Poinciana Chapel, and countless individuals provided over 700 gifts to the children we serve. Our very own Lisa Raymond, who has organized the Gift Giving Event every year since 2015, said, “This event is and has always been for the kids and that is why I do it every year.”

Holiday Adopter Program

Adopt-A-Family is looking for Holiday Adopters to support our families during the holiday season as they work towards stability. You can provide tangible support to families who wouldn’t otherwise have the ability to afford holiday gifts in two ways:

1 – Donate money that will be used to purchase gift cards to give parents the joy of selecting holiday gifts for their children.

OR

2 – Purchase gifts for each family member directly from their wish list.

For both options, we recommend $75-$100 per family member.

To sign up for the program, please fill out the form below and send it to Maria Evangelista via email, fax, or mail and she will contact you to pair you with a family in need of support.
